Yachts n stuff

It’s been a busy summer so far. I’ve just started my summer Library visits and ‘How to Train Your Pencil’ summer drop in workshops. I was met with a fantastic sight outside my room at Fort Victoria: racing yachts were whizzing right by the window, propelled by the strong wind. I don’t know if they were remnants of the America’s Cup first leg from the previous weekend, or Cowes week enthusiasts, getting ready, but it was a terrific thing to see so close to my drawing space.

At the Lord Louis Library, we made Owl Bunting, inspired by Twit the owl in my latest book, Bluebell’s New School.

Our first week at Fort Victoria saw the theme of ‘Under the Sea’. Each week we will investigate a different idea – next week is ‘Pirates and Mermaids’.
